MiraTEC Composite Trimboard

Engineered to Perfection

MiraTEC is a treated wood composite trim made using the proprietary TEC™ sealed-press manufacturing process. Wood fiber, phenolic resins, zinc borate, a water repellent and other ingredients are combined and formed into a thick fiber mat. The result is a remarkable uniform and durable trimboard designed to last a lifetime.

Extraordinary Durability

MiraTEC is a fully homogenous material. It has no layers to delaminate and it won't check, split, crack, mildew, or rot. MiraTEC actually holds five times the water resistance of fiber cement! Backed by CMI's 30-year warranty.

Design Flexibility

A property unique among trimboards, MiraTEC is reversible, with a smooth surface on one side and an authentic cedar grain on the other. Because it is a wood composite, it can be painted dark or light colors (unlike PVC), and can be stacked without any problems (unlike fiber cement).

Another reason MiraTEC looks better is that standard lap sidings won't stick past the true ¾" and 1" thickness of the trimboards.

Installs Efficiently

Unlike fiber cement, MiraTEC is easily cut and shaped without any special tools. You won't find any knots or blemishes because MiraTEC is perfectly uniform and homogenous. You won’t have to prime it like wood trim, either, because it is pre-primed at the factory.

Budget-Friendly

On average, MiraTEC costs 30% less than fiber cement trim, and 50% less than PVC. Plus, a wide range of sizes, widths (2"-16"), and lengths (up to 16') coupled with complete uniformity combine to help reduce waste and save you money and time.
