JOB SUMMARY:
The Truss Production Manager oversees the daily operations of the truss manufacturing facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production of roof and floor trusses. This role is responsible for managing production staff, coordinating schedules, maintaining equipment, and meeting customer delivery deadlines while adhering to safety and quality standards.
PRODUCTION & OPERATIONS:
• Plan, schedule, and supervise daily truss production activities.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines met.
• Monitor workflow to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Coordinate with design, sales, and logistics teams to ensure accurate production.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
• Lead, train, and supervise production staff and team leaders.
• Assign work duties and manage staffing levels.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address disciplinary issues as needed.
• Foster a positive, productive, and safety-focused work environment.
QUALITY CONTROL:
• Ensure trusses are manufactured according to engineering designs and specifications.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
• Address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
SAFETY & COMPLIANCE:
• Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA (or local regulatory) requirements.
• Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and incident investigations.
EQUIPMENT & MAINTENANCE:
• Oversee proper use and maintenance of machinery and tools.
• Coordinate equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Recommend equipment upgrades or process improvements.
INVENTORY & MATERIALS:
• Monitor lumber, plates, and hardware inventory.
• Coordinate material ordering to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Minimize material waste and control production costs.
REPORTING & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:
• Track production metrics and prepare reports.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Participate in budgeting and operational planning.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:

POSITION SUMMARY:
A Truss Assembler is essential in supporting the day-to-day operations of the truss shop, including assembling wood trusses, operating equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and assisting with loading and unloading materials.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in the assembly of wood trusses according to design specifications and shop drawings.
• Operate power tools, pneumatic nailers, saws, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Measure and cut lumber and other materials as needed.
• Load, unload, and move materials throughout the shop and yard.
• Perform quality checks to ensure trusses meet design and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist design or technical teams with shop-related input when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in construction, carpentry, or manufacturing a plus, but not required—willing to train the right candidate.
• Ability to read and understand tape measures, blueprints, and shop drawings.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• The position is based in a truss manufacturing facility, which includes both indoor and partially open-air workspaces. The environment can be noisy and fast-paced, with saws, nail guns and forklifts in operation.
• Work may be performed in various weather conditions and shop areas may not be climate-controlled
JOB SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for creating accurate and efficient designs for engineered wood products, including floor systems, roof trusses, and beams, while supporting sales and ensuring compliance with building codes and customer specifications. This role involves utilizing design software, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES:
• Create detailed layouts and designs for engineered wood systems using specialized software (List Software).
• Ensure designs meet structural requirements, building codes, and client specifications.
• Perform calculations to determine load-bearing capacities and ensure structural integrity.
• Review blueprints, architectural drawings, and project specifications to develop customized solutions.
• Provide technical support to contractors, builders, and internal staff regarding product applications and installation.
• Collaborate with the sales team to provide accurate quotes and cost estimates for engineered wood products.
• Assist customers in selecting appropriate products and solutions based on their needs and project requirements.
• Address customer inquiries, resolve design issues, and ensure high levels of satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and installers to ensure timely delivery and installation of products.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring adherence to schedules and cost efficiency.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including designs, specifications, and change orders.
• Work closely with the Engineered Wood Department team to meet departmental goals and deadlines.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on product knowledge and software use.
• Stay updated on industry trends, product developments, and building code changes to ensure innovative and compliant designs
• Responsible for effectively communicating with salesmen, coworkers and customers.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• The work environment is split between inside work and occasionally visiting the job site.

• The ability to read blue prints, follow instructions, and complete forms is required along with the ability to use various computer software programs.
• Well organized and capable of communicating with customers, employees and managers.
• Solid math and reading skills are required.

PURPOSE:
The primary responsibility of this position is the delivery of all materials in a safe, timely, and orderly manner that helps ensure customer satisfaction.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLIITIES:
1. Trucks:
• Complying with all DOT and Company requirements for drivers.
• Maintaining vehicle in a clean and safe manner.
• Reporting any accidents immediately.
2. Deliveries:
• Loading truck or confirming loading according to pick ticket or invoice.
• Handling customer invoices accurately.
• Accomplishing credit returns and job site accurately.
• Ensuring no materials leave yard or warehouse without a ticket.
• Unloading materials at customer’s job site safely, neatly and courteously.
• Logging-in before and after each shipment.
• Ensuring all materials are loaded properly to ensure a safe delivery.
• Maintaining daily fuel logs or the IFTA requirements as instructed.
• Handling all customers with promptness and friendliness.
• While each location has standard operating hours of being open for business, employees may be required to work before or after those standard operating hours, depending on customer or business needs.
3. Safety:
• Complying with Company safety policy.
• Passing the Forklift Written Licensing Exam.
• Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area (truck and trailer).
• Reporting all safety concerns immediately to the supervisor.
4. Duties when not on deliveries
• Assisting customers on the yard or in the warehouse.
• Pulling orders for shipment.
• Assisting with inventory cycle counts.
• Maintaining inventory in a neat and logical manner.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Heavy lifting up to 100 pounds will be required on an occasional basis.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• The work is primarily outside work in all types of weather.
ALL OTHER DUTIES:

• Certification from a professional driving school or association is highly preferred but not required.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
• Good math and reading skills are necessary.
• The ability to represent the Company in a friendly and helpful manner is required.
• A basic knowledge of construction and or building materials is helpful.
